The Opportunity
As EY’s digital investment accelerated, our leadership identified a pivotal opportunity to harmonize the firm’s Client Technology Global footprint. At the time, design efforts were decentralized, leading to fragmented user experiences across a massive portfolio of more than 100+ global products. The mission was to evolve this landscape into a mature, unified XD organization. We aimed to move beyond siloed delivery to create a "Single Source of Truth" that would empower every product team within the global footprint to build with consistency, accessibility, and speed.
The Solution
As part of the Global UX Leadership team, we orchestrated the expansion of our design function, scaling from 10 to over 180+ multidisciplinary professionals. We focused on building a "People-First" culture, prioritizing diversity and inclusion as the foundation of our global talent strategy. Together, we established the roadmaps and governance models necessary to unify 200+ products under a core design system. This collective growth allowed us to instill a standard of excellence and ensured that human-centered insights were at the heart of every enterprise solution we delivered.
The Results
The result was the creation of a world-class, centralized UX function that now serves as a critical success factor for EY’s global technology portfolio.
