Transforming internal audit into the future by reallocating workload from humans to machines.
The Challenge
The vision for VIA began with EY’s EMEIA Internal Audit Partners, who envisioned a flagship product that would revolutionize how audits are conducted globally. We identified a significant opportunity to transform the Internal Audit function by evolving beyond legacy, manual processes into a modernized, tech-forward ecosystem. The mission was to establish a unified platform that would centralize risk assessment and audit workflows, providing the transparency and data-driven insights necessary to deliver superior value for the firm’s global consulting clients.
Below is where we started in Frankfurt, Germany with our VIA Visioning Session. Lot's of phenominal collaboration and ideas to set the foundation for success!
The Solution
In close partnership with Internal Audit subject matter experts and our Global Managing Internal Audit Partners, we collaborated to define the strategic vision and architectural roadmap for the VIA platform. Our team focused on designing an intuitive, unified interface that simplified complex data ingestion and reporting workflows, ensuring a seamless experience across diverse audit engagements. By developing high-fidelity prototypes and a compelling video business case, we successfully communicated the platform's potential for operational excellence to Senior leadership. This collective effort was instrumental in securing the multi-million dollar investment required to transition VIA from a visionary concept into a cornerstone of our Global Internal Audit technology portfolio.
The Results
The strategy and pitch were a cornerstone success, directly securing full funding for the continued development of VIA.
